1000 meters long swimming pool
While I am stuck on this cold weather its not amusing at all to see people having a great time on swimming pools it makes a wii bit jealous. I sincerely hope that this year we have similar type of weather we had last summer. I was browsing through few interesting facts on the Net over the weekend and came across the world’s largest pool video on YouTube. Just the look of the pool was so beautiful that I had the urge to go there sooner than later.
The world’s largest swimming pool is San Alfonso del Mar seawater pool in Algarrobo, Chile. It is approximately 1,020 meters long and covers upto 20 acres. It was completed in December 2006 and holds upto 66 million gallons of water. Just imagine how many pool covers they would need to cover up the whole pool. I am just intrigued to know how they would clean this swimming pool. To clean the swimming pool my house I know the swimming pool chemicals I need to clean the pool costs me a fortune in monthly basis, I just curious to know how much they would need to spend to keep this pool clean. I will definitely ask them these questions when I get to Algarrobo.
While I was browising through this pool, my other half glazed at me with innocent eyes and said I so wish we were there this Valentines. Those words made me think about may be she is right may be we should have been away this Valentines. I thought about her words all night long and then I decided may be I should take her there for our anniversary this April. This will definitely be a lovely surprise for her. It would have been a great surprise if I actually took her there without telling her where we would be going but that cannot be done because she will need to take time off work.
It also seems like you can various different activities on the pool other than just swimming such as wake boarding, scuba diving and water skiing. I am very much looking forward to this holiday.

Property price increased if you add a conservatory
Garden is an important factor for any property unless it’s a flat. Having a beautiful and clean garden will increase your property’s value by approx 20%. Many people these days are using different ideas to decorate their garden to increase the price of the property in the market. Most gardens these days have swimming pools, garden trampolines and other garden accessories, which might catch the eye of the buyer.
During this economy period I think this is a brilliant idea. Another great idea would be to increase the size of your conservatory if you have enough room in your garden, then have an extra room located in it. Recently I had my conservatory rebuilt with one extra room and a toilet. Before it was a 2 bedroom house with one bathroom and one reception but now it is a 3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms, 1 reception and a living room. Just one simple change which cost £2,500 has increased the value of my property from £120,000 to £160,000 even in this economy.
This is just one example, recently my Uncle built a play ground in his back garden which includes five swings, two 12ft trampolines with safety nets and pads, 5 benches and a water fountain. Are you wondering how did he afford it? He has been a Doctor for over 50 years so this wasn’t anything for him. His pension is nearly double to what I get for my salary and I am an engineer for god sake, so just imagine how big his house is - I might as well call it a mansion. I asked him why he built a playground for and spend all this money, he gently replied: in few months he wants to move somewhere small with his wife, so he wants to either rent of sell this property as a house or as a nursery. What a great idea. He can even charge the nursery to use it so he won’t really be loosing anything. I am now thinking to add a 10ft trampoline in my garden and create a small playing area for my kids.
