One area where men and women aren’t so different is in having difficulty with fitness motivation. While many people set fitness goals for themselves, very often they find it hard to actually get started or remain consistent about exercising. Self motivation seems to be natural for a select minority of people. But still, at some point even the most hard-core can have a low point, or even become bored with working out. If you are among the fortunate who have been regularly working out and getting it done, then you also risk becoming bored with your routines. Simple strategies can be employed to help avoid or get past boredom. Keeping your workouts fresh is necessary to avoid boredom.
This is a good time to try something new or to look for other fitness challenges to help you with your goals. No matter what you choose to do, you do not have to be bored with your workouts.
When it comes to health, fitness, and working out, these are highly personal. So our challenges to stay motivated and to keep moving forward will be personal, too. So we each need to resolve this issue in our own way, on our own terms. It makes sense that the solution to a personal problem be personal as well. So your source of inspiration and motivation needs to mean the most to you. It can be health-related or concerning your physical appearance, or both - doesn’t matter.
Despite our good intentions, there will be unpredictable events that make it impossible for us to do what we planned. Don’t get thrown off course just because you had to miss a workout one day. If you didn’t exercise, this isn’t a reason to chastise yourself. Whatever happens, look to the future hopefully so you can continue making progress. Whatever has happened is already in the past, so don’t worry about it. Letting unhappy thoughts and feelings dominate you will only make it harder to stay motivated. You don’t want to plant any seeds of being down.
