Is The Candida Spit Test A Good Test?
If getting up early in the morning, spitting in a glass of water and then watching what happens to your spit over the next hour or so is exciting to you then go ahead and do your Candida Spit Test tomorrow morning.
You can’t really do any harm by going through your Candida Spit Test, but It is by and large an unreliable test.
For example my own personal testing has revealed inconsistencies. It is relevant to note that I do not have an issue with Candida or a yeast infection, and as such should get a negative result every time I do a Candida Spit Test. For 2 of my Candida Spit Tests it was revealed that I may have a problem, but the other one was a complete indication of good health. Once again there is absolutely no reason for there to be any indication that I have an issue with a candida overgrowth.
It is not so much that I want to scare you away from taking a Candida Spit Test, the reality is its a pretty harmless thing to do. My point is more about creating an awareness that it is not the most reliable of tests.
So here is what you do;
Fill up a glass full of water and pop it some where that you will see as soon as you get up and before you get into your morning routine. It needs to be a clear glass as you are going to need to see what is happening when you spit in it!
Now off you go to bed.
As soon as you rise in the morning, you will need to be spitting into the glass. Make sure you have a reasonable amount of spit and away you go. Its early and you don’t need to be cleaning up a mess, so please do this in an orderly fashion!
Have a look at what you see and then go and have your shower or whatever you would normally be doing if it were not for your Candida spit test.
Over the course of the next hours you should see what is happening to the saliva in your Candida Spit Test. Do this at 15 minute intervals.
The positive sign to look out for are. But first I will cover off what is supposed to indicate a healthy candida spit test result. Saliva that stays on top of the water but eventually dissipates into the water, is a good sign
It might be that your spit does not dissipate, but either creates a cloud in the water or appear to be like string, or even just drop to the bottom. Finally it might leave some specks hanging in the water.
According to the Candida spit test theory, if any of this shows up you have Candida Albicans Overgrowth. If these symptoms have shown up very quickly then this is meant to be an even stronger positive.
It is most likely that there is some foundation to the results that a Candida Spit Test provide. and assuming that you are researching this topic because you already have your suspicions, a positive result may actually an accurate test.
If the evidence is gathering that you are pretty sure you have a problem, please don’t act on these results, seek the advice of a medical practitioner. The Candida Spit Test is quite OK to do, just be careful not to rely on it.
The other thing to do is to start taking a good hard look at the foods you eat. When dealing with a yeast infection it is normal that dietary intake is the cause of the issue and the place to begin for a long term resolution.
